Abstract
Pabrik biji plastik biodegradable dengan berbahan baku biji sorgum termodifikasi kitosan dan gliserol dengan kapasitas 2.400 ton/tahun. Proses pembuatan biji plastik berbahan biodegradable ini menggunakan reaksi asetilasi dengan menggunakan reaktor. Pabrik biji plastik ini direncakan akan didirikan di desa Raji, Kecamatan Demak, Kabupaten Demak, Jawa Tengah. Pemilihan lokasi di Demak dikarenakan terdapat luas tanam budidaya biji sorgum di daerah tersebut dan juga lokasi pabrik ini dibangun di kawasan industri Jatengland Industrial Park Sayung (JIPS) yang memiliki total area 300 hektar. Pabrik ini direncanakan akan dibangun pada tahun 2026 dengan jumlah tenaga kerja 133 orang . Hasil analisa ekonomi pabrik biji plastik biodegradable adalah sebagai berikut: Total Capital Investment = Rp. 65.402.896.468 IRR = 19% ROI = 35% POT = 4,5 tahun BEP = 47% Dari hasil analisa aspek ekonomi dapat disimpulkan bahwa pabrik biji plastik biodegradable ini layak untuk didirikan.
