Abstract
Pabrik Nanokristal Selulosa dari Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) dengan kapasitas 10.000 ton/tahun dengan lokasi pabrik direncanakan pada daerah Air Genting, Hilir Sungai Silau Kabupaten Asahan, Sumatera Utara. Pabrik ini beroperasi selama 330 hari per tahun Proses produksi yang digunakan adalah proses hidrolisis asam untuk mengubah alfa selulosa menjadi Nanokristal Selulosa. Proses hidrolisis berlang selama 25 menit Pada temperatur 45 C menggunakan H2SO4 48,84%. Pabrik Nanokristal Selulosa merupakan perusahaan dan mampu menyerap tenaga kerja sebanyak 201 orang. Lama pabrik Nanokristal Selulosa ini menunjukan bahwa pabrik ini layak untuk didirikan dengan jumlah total investasi yang dibutuhkan sebesar USS 592.634.168.098 dimana diperoleh dari 60% modal sendiri USS 355.580.500.859 dan 40% modal pinjaman USS 237.053.667.239 Laju pengembalian modal (ROI) sebesar 58% waktu pengembalian modal 2 tahun 8 bulan dan Brake Event Point 31%
