Abstract
Tujuan penelitian Analisis Pengaruh Variasi Rake Angle Terhadap Chip Morphology ST 41 Menggunakan Finite Element Analysis (FEA) adalah mengetahui pengaruh variasi rake angle terhadap temperatur, gaya potong, dan chip morphology. Pemodelan dilakukan dengan menggunakan software engineering. Simulasi difokuskan pada pemodelan benda kerja dan pahat. Proses pengambilan data yang digunakan pada simulasi ini menggunakan pemilihan nodal pada hasil simulasi yang didapatkan dengan mengambil rata – rata nilai pada semua nodal. Metode elemen hingga yang digunakan adalah metode orthogonal dengan variasi rake angle sebesar -5°, 5°, 15°, 25°, 35°. Hasil nilai gaya potong yang signifikan terjadi pada sudut 35° diperoleh sebesar 433 N, dan nilai temperatur yang signifikan terjadi pada sudut -5° diperoleh sebesar 148°C.
