Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengalisa Simulasi Proses Pembubutan Material AISI 4340 Chip Formation Menggunakan Orthogonal Cutting untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi rake angle terhadap temperatur, cutting force, chip formation. Permodelan dilakukan menggunakan software engineering Coumputer-Aided Engineering (CAE) dengan fokusan simulasi pada permodelan benda kerja antara mata pahat menggunakan orthogonal cutting. Variasi rake angle yang digunakan sebesar -5o, 0o, 5o, 10o, dan 15o. Hasil cutting force tertinggi berada pada variasi -5o sebesar 707 N, dan nilai temperatur tertinggi terjadi pada variasi -5o sebesar 352oC dengan semua hasil chip formation berbentuk countinous
