Abstract
Kota Balikpapan adalah salah satu kota penghasil minyak bumi di Indonesia. Teluk Balikpapan sendiri memiliki potensi minyak bumi yang sangat besar sehingga Kota Balikpapan memiliki peranan penting dalam penyediaan minyak bumi untuk keperluan nasional dan internasional. Dalam memenuhi peranan tersebut perlu adanya proses pendistribusian ke daerah melalui jalur darat, laut maupun udara. Distribusi melalui jalur laut dapat menimbulkan resiko tumpahan minyak yang dapat disebabkan oleh kebocoran pipa, kecelakaan laut, kebakaran kapal atau pada saat pengangkutan minyak ke kapal. Dalam membantu proses pembersihan laut dari tumpahan minyak dilakukan simulasi pergerakan tumpahan minyak di laut dengan metode Staggered Grid. Simulasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan model Shallow Water Equation dan model pergerakan minyak. Hasil simulasi pertama menunjukan perubahan ketebalan minyak menjadi 0.00938 m saat t = 1 jam, 0.0606 m saat t = 2 jam, 0.0485 m saat t = 3 jam, 0.0413 m saat t = 4 jam, dan 0.0359 m saat t = 5 jam dan luas area tumpahan minyak saat t = 1 jam sebesar 1.76 km2, saat t = 2 jam sebesar 3.14 km2 saat t = 3 jam sebesar 4.52 km 2, saat t = 4 jam sebesar 7.54 km2 dan saat t = 5 jam sebesar 9.6 km2. Hasil simulasi kedua menunjukan perubahan ketebalan minyak menjadi 0.09148 m saat t = 1 jam, 0.0602 m saat t = 2 jam, 0.0479 m saat t = 3 jam, 0.0389 m saat t = 4 jam, dan 0.0353 m saat t = 5 jam dan luas area tumpahan minyak saat t = 1 jam sebesar 2 km2, saat t = 2 jam sebesar 3.8 km2, saat t = 3 jam sebesar 6.16 km2, saat t = 4 jam sebesar 8.03 km2 dan saat t = 5 jam sebesar 12.5 km2.
