Abstract
Pabrik bioetanol dari nira nipah (Nypa fruticans) direncanakan produksi dengan kapasitas 65.000 kL/tahun. Pabrik ini direncanakan akan didirikan di Muara Jawa, Kutai Kartanegara, Kalimantan Timur dengan luas lahan 47.805 m2.Pembuatan bioetanol ini terdapat tiga tahapan proses, diantaranya, proses pre-treatment bahan baku, proses sintesis nira nipah menjadi bioetanol, dan proses pemurnian bioetanol dengan kemurnian lebih tinggi. Nira nipah yang telah dilakukan proses penyadapan dialirkan menuju tangki penyimpanan (T-101) untuk disimpan sebelum diproses. Pada reaktor SSF A (R-101) dan reaktor SSF B (R-102) dilakukan sintesis bioetanol dari nira nipah dengan menggunakan mikroorganisme Z. mobilis dan bantuan enzim invertase serta larutan NaOH sebagai pengatur pH. Bioetanol yang dihasilkan dimurnikan dengan menggunakan kolom distilasi (KD-101) dan dehidrator (DE-101) serta produk samping berupa padatan slurry dimurnikan menggunakan tray dryer (D-201).Berdasarkan hasil analisa, pabrik bioetanol ini membutuhkan nira nipah sebesar 159,384.5 kg/jam dan air sebanyak 3,389.64 kg/jam. Berdasarkan analisa ekonomi, dibutuhkan nilai modal kerja atau WCI sebesar Rp 91,794,341,722, TPC sebesar Rp 513,811,130,693.49, dan NPW sebesar Rp 1,501,611,960,503.54. ROI yang diperoleh dari pabrik bioetanol ini adalah 53.19%, POT selama 2.5 tahun, BEP sebesar 33.93%, DFCR sebesar 15.87%, dan SDP sebesar 12.06%. Dari parameter dan hasil analisa yang dilakukan, maka disimpulkan bahwa pabrik ini layak untuk dikaji lebih lanjut. Kata Kunci: Bioetanol, Fermentasi, Nira Nipah
