Abstract

Electric motorcycles are one of the low-carbon transportation alternatives. One of the important components in a motorcycle is the frame, various types of motorized vehicle frames have a trellis type frame. Trellis is a frame in the form of a braid of rounded pipes that are welded one by one. This research aims to design and analyze the effect of various variations of load and material by using simulation testing on Computer Simulation with the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) method. The results obtained from this research are the largest stress value in the material 10.08 Mpa on ASTM A36 with a horizontal loading direction and in the vertical direction the greatest stress on ASTM A36 material with a value of 70.68 MPa. The highest safety factor value in the horizontal loading direction is 2.4 with ASTM A36 material and the lowest safety value is 2.2 with Aluminum 6061-T4
