Abstract
Saat ini, sintesis nanomaterial yang sederhana, ramah lingkungan, dan hemat biaya dengan metode biologi mendapatkan perhatian lebih dibandingan dengan metode fisika dan kimia. Dalam penelitian ini, nanokristal ZnO disintesis melalui metode green synthesis menggunakan ekstrak daun jati sebagai agen capping dan stabilizer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi konsentrasi prekursor Zn(CH3COO)2.2H2O terhadap karakteristik struktur ZnO. Analisis X-Ray Diffraction mengungkapkan bahwa nanokristal ZnO yang dihasilkan memiliki struktur kristal heksagonal wurtzite dengan ukuran butir kristal yang semakin meningkat seiring perubahan konsentrasi prekursor. Hasil analisis Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) menunjukkan adanya gugus O-H dalam ekstrak daun jati yang terlibat dalam bioreduksi, pembentukan dan stabilisasi nanokristal ZnO dengan puncak pada bilangan gelombang 3274,02 cm-1. Adanya ikatan Zn-O dikonfirmasi melalui Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy dengan mengamati puncak pada bilangan gelombang di sekitar 400 cm−1. Hasil analisis Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) mengungkapkan bahwa nanokristal ZnO yang dihasilkan berbentuk bongkahan yang tidak seragam akibat aglomerasi. Analisis Energy Dispersive X-Ray mendukung analisis XRD dengan mengonfirmasi keberadaan seng dan oksigen yang menegaskan nanokristal ZnO memiliki kemurnian yang tinggi.
