Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah penduduk Kota Balikpapan menyebabkan kebutuhan air yang meningkat. Berdasarkan data penduduk tahun 2012 rata-rata kebutuhan air per orang adalah 130 liter per hari. Saat ini Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) masih belum memenuhi kebutuhan penduduk akan air bersih, sehingga penduduk yang tinggal di daerah sungai lamaru lebih banyak memanfaatkan air tanah akuifer untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, hal ini menyebabkan kemungkinanan kekurangan akan air tanah akan terjadi pada daerah tersebut. Maka, diperlukan adanya pemetaan lapisan akuifer sebagai salah satu usaha untuk mengetahui cadangan air tanah pada musim kemarau. Tujuan utama penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui struktur bawah permukaan dan kedalaman lapisan akuifer berupa penampang 1D. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut adalah metode geolistrik resistivitas konfigurasi Schlumberger, dengan data yang diperoleh pada akuisisi adalah nilai beda potensial, arus listrik dan resistivitas batuan. Hasil data yang diperoleh berupa model lapisan 1 dimensi berdasarkan nilai (resistivitas semu) hasil perhitungan dan data geologi. Hasil analisis menunjukan struktur litologi lapisan bawah permukaan rata-rata dari jenis lapisan tanah penutup, lempung, lempung pasiran, dan pasir lempungan. Nilai resistivitas yang didapatkan dari titik pengukuran pertama hingga kelima berkisar 1,8Ωm - 282Ωm dengan kedalaman maksimal 101m - 125m. Jenis akuifer yang teridentifikasi adalah akuifer bebas, akuifer semi tertekan, dan akuifer tertekan. Estimasi kedalaman dari akuifer bebas >101m, akuifer semi tertekan 24,1m - 125m dan akuifer tertekan 0,645m -5,01m di bawah permukaan tanah. Kata kunci: Akuifer, Air tanah, Resistivitas
