Abstract

There are three active tectonic plates in Indonesia, including the Eurasian plate, the Indo-Australian plate and the Pacific Ocean plate. The tectonic plate shift will cause a sudden release of energy in the earth, resulting in an earthquake that is characterized by a change in the structure of the layer that exceeds the elasticity limit, resulting in a fault. The Paser Regency is a supporting area for the national capital (IKN), the decision to relocate the national capital to the East Kalimantan region is due to its relatively low disaster risk. The existence of an earthquake in Paser Regency on March 1 2022 with a hypocenter of 10 km, a magnitude of 4,5 and has an intensity level of II-III MMI (Modified Mercalli Intensity), can prove that East Kalimantan cannot be said to be in the category of being completely safe from natural disasters, so that the formulation of this problem is that there is no deeper study mapping in the Paser Regency area regarding the structure of the earth's subsurface layer based on variations in rock density. The purpose of this research is to make 2-dimensional modeling and identify the structure of the subsurface layer and provide information about the distribution and type of faults using FHD (First Horizontal Derivative) and SVD (Second Vertical Derivative) analysis. The gravity method is one of the geophysical methods that can describe the shape and geology of the subsurface structure based on variations in rock density values. Anomaly data of Topex satellite image in the form of longitude, latitude, elevation and FAA (Free Air Anomaly). The next stage is carried out Bouguer correction and field correction, which produces a complete Bouguer anomaly, which is then separated between regional anomalies and residual anomalies. Residual anomalies are used to display the state of local anomalies in the research area so that the structure of the subsurface layer is known. The 2D modeling results of the layer structure in incision A - A' consist of greywacke rock 2,65 gr/cm3, clay rock 2,21 gr/cm3 limestone 2,55 gr/cm3 and sandstone intersection 1,61 gr/cm3. As for the layer structure at incision B - B', it is composed of breccia rocks with andesite components 2,80 gr/cm3, graywacke 2,70 gr/cm3, sandstone 2,76 gr/cm3 and limestone 1,94 gr/cm3. In the B - B' incision, there was a breakthrough of igneous rock named as sintang intrusion with diorite component with a value of 2,85 gr/cm3. The subsurface geological structure using FHD (First Horizontal Derivative) and SVD (Second Vertical Derivative) analysis in this study indicated the existence of a type of ascending fault in the A - A' incision and B - B' incision. Keywords: Residual Anomaly, Satellite Image Data, Rock Density
