Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran belangkas dan jenis belangkas yang terdapat di Perairan Teluk Balikpapan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pengambilan langsung dan menggunakan jaring/belat. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 2 jenis Belangkas yakni Tachypleus gigas dan Corcinoscorpius rotundicauda. Keberadaan belangkas yang tersebar di perairan Penajam Paser Utara yaitu di kelurahan Pantai lango, Jenebora, Gersik, Buluminung, Penajam dan Sesumpu. Kondisi lingkungan ditemukanya belangkas memiliki parameter Suhu dengan rata-rata 29,0 – 30,9 ℃, Salinitas 23,0 – 25,7 ppt, DO 6,00 – 6,77 mg/l, kecerahan 17,073 – 43,75 % dan kedalaman 6 – 8 m. Rata-rata morfometrik yang ditemukan dengan lebar prosoma 20.26 cm , panjang Prosoma 11.97 cm, Panjang badan 37.85 cm dan berat badan 44.11 gr.
