Abstract

Fixed wing merupakan UAV dengan konfigurasi sayap tetap atau menempel dengan badan pesawat. UAV model fixed wing memiliki keunggulan yaitu cakupan pemotretan yang luas, sehingga sering digunakan dalam melakukan pemetaan, pemetaan wilayah, pemantauan militer, perkebunan maupun pertanian dan masih banyak lagi. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai airfoil pada UAV. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis airfoil tidak simetris NACA 4412. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui performa airfoil NACA 4412 pada sayap UAV apabila diberi variasi kecepatan aliran udara dan sudut serang terhadap distribusi tekanan di sekitar airfoil, serta mengetahui rasio perbandingan antara nilai coefficient of lift dan nilai coefficient of drag yang dihasilkan akibat sudut serang dan kecepatan aliran udara yang divariasikan. Variasi sudut serang mulai dari 0°, 3°, 6°, 9°, 12° dan variasi kecepatan aliran udara mulai dari 5 m/s, 10 m/s, 15 m/s, 20 m/s, 25 m/s, 30 m/s. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) pada software Ansys Fluent. Coefficient of lift dan coefficient of drag meningkat seiring bertambahnya sudut serang dan kecepatan udara. Terbukti pada penelitian kali ini nilai coefficient of lift tertinggi didapat pada sudut serang 12º dan kecepatan udara 30 m/s yaitu sebesar 0,4327. Nilai coefficient of drag tertinggi pada sudut serang 12º dan kecepatan udara 5 m/s yaitu 0,05093. Nilai perbandingan rasio Cl/Cd tertinggi ialah pada sudut serang 3º dan kecepatan udara 30 m/s dan mengalami penuruan pada sudut serang yang semakin besar setelah mencapai harga puncak.
