Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan eksperimen untuk mengetahui pengaruh Overlap Ratio (OR) dan Slotted Blade (SB) terhadap performa turbin angin (CP, TSR, & CT) Savonius. Eksperimen ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan wind tunnel pada labotorium, dengan konfigurasi turbin angin Savonius. Konfigurasi OR dan SB, dengan power induction 27% atau kecepatan rata-rata angin 5.8 m/s. Turbin Savonius dengan Overlap Ratio (OR) 20% menunjukkan performa (CP & TSR) terbaik pada konfigurasi turbin Savonius OR 20% & SB 15%. Pada CT, turbin yang memiliki performa terbaik dengan OR 20% untuk konfigurasi OR 20% & SB 20%. Nilai OR 20% memberikan peningkatan performa pada turbin Savonius dibandingkan turbin tanpa variabel, sehingga Overlap Ratio memiliki pengaruh terhadap performa turbin Savonius. Pengaruh Slotted Blade (SB) pada performa turbin (CP, TSR, & CT) Savonius tidak memiliki peningkatan signifikan terhadap performa turbin. Nilai Slotted Blade (SB) yang memberikan hasil optimal terhadap performa turbin (CP & TSR) adalah 15%, dengan konfigurasi OR 20% & SB 15%. Pada CT, turbin yang memiliki performa terbaik dengan SB 20% untuk konfigurasi OR 20% & SB 20%. Dengan kecepatan angin 5.8 m/s selama pengujian, turbin yang memiliki hasil optimal dengan konfigurasi OR 20% & SB 15% berdasarkan hasil CP, TSR & CT.
