Abstract

Studi Desain dilakukan bertujuan untuk mendapatkan desain sistem Oscillating Water Column yang akan digunakan sebagai sistem sumber pembangkit tenaga gelombang. Oscillating Water Column (OWC) adalah tipe pembangkit listrik tenaga gelombang laut, yang mengandalkan tekanan oleh keluar masuknya air laut di dalam kolom osilasi dari energi potensial air laut. Dengan menggunakan software ANSYS Fluent dapat membantu dalam analisis optimalisasi dari 4 desain. Hasil digunakan untuk perbandingan menemukan desain unggul dan melakukan variasi tinggi gelombang pada setiap desain. Hasil analisis yang didapatkan ialah Desain II sebagai hasil terbaik dengan ukuran 21 meter dengan variasi tinggi gelombang 0,5 meter didapatkan 9,96 kilowatt (kw), dari tinggi gelombang 1 meter didapatkan 73,88 kilowatt (kw) dan dari tinggi gelombang 1,5 meter didapatkan 19,53 kilowatt (kw). Sehingga dari variasi tinggi gelombang dapat berpengaruh untuk pembangkit listrik tenaga gelombang laut.
