Abstract

Menurut Badan Pusat Statistika, jumlah kebutuhan maleat anhidrat mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan dari $3,26 miliar pada tahun 2022 menjadi $3,56 miliar pada tahun 2023 dengan tingkat pertumbuhan sebesar 9,2%. Di Indonesia maleat anhidrat digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan bahan baku dalam pembuatan unsaturated polyester resin, alkyd resins, dan lubricant addictive. Produksi maleat anhidrat dari benzene dan udara dengan kapasitas 76.000 ton/tahun terdiri dari proses pre-treatment bahan baku, sintesa maleat anhidrat, dan pemurnian. Pabrik ini akan didirikan di Kabupaten Nganjuk, Provinsi Jawa Timur, tepatnya di Kawasan Industri Nganjuk (KING) pada tahun 2033 dan beroperasi selama 330 hari/tahun. Untuk memproduksi maleat anhidrat sesuai dengan kapasitas produksi, dibutuhkan benzene sebanyak 60.559,86 ton/tahun dan udara sebanyak 677.209,11 ton/tahun. Bahan baku benzene diperoleh dari PT. Trans Pasific Petrochemical Indotama dan udara di ambil secara bebas pada lingkungan sekitar pabrik. Proses produksi maleat anhidrat dijalankan pada reactor fixed bed multitube dengan kondisi operasi tekanan 3,5 bar dan suhu 400°C. Berdasarkan Analisa ekonomi yang dilakukan, diperoleh investasi modal tetap pabrik maleat anhidrat sebesar Rp 6.850.913.890.731,98 dengan nilai Discounted Cash Flow Rate of Return (DFCR) sebesar 65,77% (≥24% diatas MARR), ROI 98,79% , BEP 58,00%, dan SDP 58,00%. Keseluruhan parameter tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pabrik maleat anhidrat secara analisa ekonomi layak untuk dikaji lebih lanjut.
