Abstract

Hidrogen peroksida adalah cairan tak berwarna yang mudah larut dalam air. Bahan kimia ini memiliki berbagai aplikasi, terutama sebagai bahan pemutih pada industri pulp dan kertas. Di Indonesia, kapasitas produksi pabrik hidrogen peroksida belum mencukupi kebutuhan dalam negeri, sehingga masih harus diimpor. Selain itu, permintaan hidrogen peroksida di seluruh dunia diperkirakan akan meningkat di tahun-tahun mendatang.Pada tahun 2023, direncanakan pembangunan pabrikhidrogen peroksida di Kawasan Industri Gresik, Kabupaten Gresik, Jawa Timur. Pabrik ini dijadwalkan beroperasi selama 330 hari per tahun dengan kapasitas produksi 50.000 ton per tahun. Lokasi pabrik dipilih berdasarkan pertimbangan bahan baku yaitu hidrogen yang akan disuplai oleh PT Petrokimia Gresik, serta tersedianya jalur transportasi dan infrastruktur yang memadai baik di darat maupun di perairan. Pabrik ini akan berdiri di atas lahan seluas 4,88 hektar dan akan dioperasikan oleh 10 operator per shift. Evaluasi ekonomi menunjukkan modal tetap sebesar $7.140.173,70 dan modal kerja sebesar $1.260.030,65. Pada kapasitas produksi penuh (100%), tingkat pengembalian investasi sebelum pajak adalah 124,31%. Payback period sebesar 2,53 tahun, dengan titik impas (BEP) 41,73%, surplus laba rugi.
