Abstract

Polusi udara merupakan salah satu masalah penting yang tidak asing diwilayah perkotaan maupun pedesaan. Berbagai kegiatan seperti penggunaan kendaraan bermotor, kegiatan membakar sampah, hingga kegiatan industri memliki pengaruh terhadap kontribusi baik buruknya kualitas udara di daerah sekitarnya. Kegiatan industri yang banyak terjadi di kota-kota seperti Balikpapan menghasilkan dan menyemburkan polutan yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas udara sekitar dan memberi efek terhadap makhluk hidup sekitar, terutama masyarakat sekitar.. Salah satu industri minyak dan gas yang besar di Balikpapan ialah Pertamina Refinery UnitU V. Dalam penelitian ini, dengan menggunakan Model Gaussian Plume, dibandingkan nilai konsentrasi antara menggunakan perhitungan manual dengan persamaan pada Bab 2 dan dengan software Screenview dilakukan simulasi dengan menggunakan software Matlab. Dalam simulasi ini mempertimbangkan kondisi meteorologi berupa kecepatan angin dominan sepanjang tahun 2021 yaitu 3.7 m/s ke arah Barat Daya dan disimulasikan menggunakan software Wind Rose Plot WR Plot. Sehingga dengan intensitas matahari sedang, maka kelas stabilitaas atmosfer digolongkan kedalam kelas B (tidak stabil menengah) dan kelas C (sedikit tidak stabil). Kandungan polutan yang diamati ialah Partikulat, SO2, dan NO2 yang disemburkan dari 3 Cerobong.. Dengan perhitungan manual menggunakan software Excel dan software Screenview didapat bahwa hasil dari software Screenview nilai konsentrasi lebih besar dengan jarak sebar lebih jauh. Hal ini dikarenakan perhitungan menggunakan software Screenview menghasilkan nilai kecepatan angin dan koefisien dispersie berbeda dari perhitungan manual, serta karena mempertimbangkan parameter lain seperti fumigation dan building wash. (Air pollution is one of some serious problem that familiar in urban and rural area. Many activities like vehicle use, burning trash, to industry activities influence air quality in its surrounding area. Many industry activities that going on in cities like Balikpapan produced and emitted pollutants that can affect ambient air quality dan affect the surrounding creatures, especially local communities. One of the biggest gas and oil industry in Balikpapan is Pertamina Refinery Unit V Balikpapan. In this research, with using Gaussian Plume Model, the result of concentration value was compared between manual calculation using expression in Chapter 2 and Software Screenview was used and simulated by Matlab software. In this simulation, meteorology situation that being considered is dominant wind velocity throughout 2021, it’s 3.7 m/s to South West dan simulated by Wind Rose Plot software. Therefore, with the moderate sun intensity, stability class classified as B (moderately unstable) and C (slightly unstable). Observed pollutants content are particulate, SO2, NO2 that emitted from 3 chimney. With manual calculation using Microsoft Excel and software Screenview, the results of concentrations from software Screenview are the concentrations is lower and scatter farther than from manual calculation. This happened because software Screenview’s wind velocity and disperse coefficient output different from manual calculation, and also considered another parameter as fumigation and bulding wash. )
