Abstract

Minyak pelumas terbuat dari minyak bumi mentah yang menjalani proses refinement, di sektor industri minyak pelumas sering digunakan untuk metal cutting, transfer panas, dan kegiatan terkait pelumasan lainnya. Minyak pelumas yang digunakan akan tercemar atau terdegradasi sebagai akibat dari proses pengaplikasian, selanjutnya minyak ini disebut sebagai minyak bekas (waste oil). Pra rancangan pabrik minyak pelumas dasar berbahan baku minyak pelumas bekas direncanakan memiliki kapasitas produksi sebesar 10.000 ton/tahun dan beroperasi selama 330 hari dalam setahun. Pabrik minyak pelumas dasar direncanakan untuk dibangun di wilayah Kelurahan Buluminung, Kecamatan Penajam, Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia. Dengan masa konstruksi selama 2 tahun dan beroperasi selama 20 tahun. Pabrik minyak pelumas dasar layak untuk dikaji lebih lanjut berdasarkan evaluasi ekonomi dengan rincian sebagai berikut. Total Capital Investment (TCI) : US$27.346.306, Total Production Cost (TPC) : US$29.787.726, Return on Investment (ROI) : 11%, Net Present Value (NPV) : US$135.625.378, Discounted Cash Flow Rate of Return (DCFR) : 57,62%, Discounted Payback Period (DPBP) : 2,2 tahun.
