Abstract
ABSTRAK Pada Penelitian ini akan mempelajari pengaruh media abrasif terhadap hasil sandblasting pada sample plat ASTM A36 denggan menggunakan pasir samboja dan pasir mahakam sebagai media abrasif. akan di lakukan pengamatan bentuk dari setiap sample media abrasif dengan menggunakan SEM. Kemudian akan di lanjutkan denggan pengujian XRF untuk menggetahui komposisi dari setiap sample media abrasif, unsur pasir samboja dan pasir mahakam. Kemudian akan dilakukan penggujian XRD untuk menggetahui jenis struktur kristal dari sample dari pasir samboja dan pasir mahakam. Sandblasting akan meggunakan 3 variasi sudut penyemprotan dengan besaran tekanan yang sama. Hasil perbandingan dari penelitian ini akan membahas tingkat kebersihan yang mampu di capai berdasarkan jenis media abrasifnya dengan standar Internasional ISO 8501-1 dan untuk mengetahui tingkat kekasaran yang dihasilkan dari tiap media abrasif akan dilakukan dengan pengujian kekasaran atau roughness test. ABSTRACT This study will study the effect of abrasive media on sandblasting results on ASTM A36 plate samples using samboja sand and mahakam sand as abrasive media. Observations of the shape of each abrasive media sample will be made using an SEM. Then XRF testing will continue to determine the percentage content of each sample of abrasive media, elements of samboja sand and mahakam sand. XRD will then be tested to find out the crystal shape of each sample of Samboja sand and Mahakam sand. Sand blasting will use 3 variations of spraying angles with the same amount of pressure. The comparison results of this study will discuss the level of cleanliness that can be achieved based on the type of abrasive media with the international standard ISO 8501-1 and to determine the level of roughness produced from each abrasive media will be done by roughness testing or roughness test
