Abstract

Air bersih merupakan kebutuhan vital bagi masyarakat, sehingga pemenuhan akan air bersih menjadi hal yang penting. Pemenuhan kebutuhan air bersih di Kecamatan Sepaku mendapat tantangan karena adanya peningkatan populasi penduduk akibat dari pembangunan Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab ketidakseragaman aliran distribusi air serta memodelkan dan menganalisis sistem distribusi air yang dikelola oleh Perumda Danum Taka Unit Sepaku. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pemodelan ini adalah metode sistem dinamik, yang efektif dalam menggambarkan proses, perilaku, kompleksitas system. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan populasi yang signifikan dan keterbatasan kapasitas penyimpanan air yang kurang optimal menjadi penyebab utama terhambatnya pemenuhan kebutuhan industri. Simulasi skenario dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi dampak dari pembangunan tempat endapan air sebagai solusi strategis dengan penambahan tempat endapan air sebanyak empat unit, dengan kapasitas penyimpanan meningkat sehingga mampu menstabilkan distribusi air bahkan dengan proyeksi kenaikan populasi tiga kali lipat selama sepuluh tahun mendatang. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk pembangunan infrastruktur tambahan serta optimasi sistem distribusi guna memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih masyarakat Sepaku secara berkelanjutan.
