Abstract

Indonesia memiliki panjang garis pantai mencapai 81.290 Km lebih, menjadikan Indonesia sebagai negara dengan garis pantai terpanjang kedua di dunia. Hal tersebut membuat Indonesia memiliki potensi sumber daya alam yang melimpah. Salah satu bentuk sumber daya alamnya yaitu energi gelombang laut yang dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi energi terbarukan dengan menggunakan teknologi turbin wells pada sistem Oscillating Water Column (OWC). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi airfoil NACA dengan variasi NACA 0015, NACA 0020, dan NACA 0025 dengan variasi penggunaan guide vane. Pengujian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan wave flume dengan gelombang reguler. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil eksperimen tersebut yaitu RPM, pressure, ketinggian gelombang. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh konfigurasi turbin wells dengan performa terbaik yaitu turbin wells NACA 0025 dengan guide vane di bagian depan menghasilkan nilai kecepatan udara sebesar 9,284 m/s, kecepatan putar turbin 1819 Rpm, TSR 1,23 dan koefisien input 0,435.
