Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi semakin mempengaruhi industri perhotelan, terutama dalam pengelolaan reservasi. Hotel Pacific Balikpapan belum memiliki sistem informasi reservasi yang terintegrasi, sehingga masih menggunakan Microsoft Excel untuk mencatat reservasi secara manual, termasuk data dari Online Travel Agent (OTA) yang diterima melalui email, proses ini rawan kesalahan input yang dapat menyebabkan double booking serta berisiko terhadap keamanan data, dan penggunaan OTA memiliki biaya komisi yang mengurangi pendapatan hotel. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem informasi reservasi untuk mempermudah proses pemesanan kamar, meningkatkan akurasi data, memperkuat keamanan melalui database, dan memberikan alternatif reservasi yang mengurangi ketergantungan pada OTA. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Personal Extreme Programming (PXP) yang cocok untuk proyek skala kecil dengan waktu pengembangan singkat, tahapan pengembangan meliputi requirement, planning, iteration initialization, design, implementation, testing, dan retrospective. Hasil penelitian dengan 27 user story dan 3 aktor yaitu admin, resepsionis, dan pengguna umum, menunjukkan sistem yang dikembangkan berhasil diimplementasikan sesuai kebutuhan aktor. Pengujian black-box membuktikan seluruh fitur berjalan dengan baik. Sistem ini mampu meningkatkan akurasi data, meminimalkan risiko double booking, dan memberikan alternatif melakukan reservasi tanpa ketergantungan terhadap OTA, serta meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan efisiensi operasional hotel.
