Abstract

Kelurahan Baru Ulu mengalami pertambahan penduduk setiap tahunnya, hal ini menyebabkan peningkatan volume sampah organik dan anorganik yang dapat mencemari tanah dan mengganggu kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis timbulan, komposisi, dan karakteristik sampah organik dan anorganik di Kelurahan Baru Ulu, kondisi eksisting bank sampah mekar jaya, besar reduksi sampah organik dan anorganik, serta rekomendasi desain bank sampah berdasarkan PerMen LH No. 13 Tahun 2012. Penentuan jumlah sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan jumlah populasi sebesar 22.622 jiwa dan pengukuran timbulan dan komposisi sampah berdasarkan pada SNI 19-3964-1994, sedangkan analisis terhadap kondisi eksisting bank sampah berdasarkan persyaratan konstruksi PerMen LH No. 13 Tahun 2012. Hasil data penelitian ini yaitu jumlah timbulan sampah organik sebesar 4.421,5246 kg/hari dan timbulan sampah anorganik sebesar 2.515,9130 kg/hari, serta persentase komposisi sampah sampah organik 63,73% dan sampah anorganik 36,27%. Karakteristik sampah organik menggunakan analisis ultimat yaitu kadar air sebesar 89,42%, C-organik sebesar 32,01%, N-total sebesar 1,92%, rasio C/N sebesar 24,34%, sedangkan sampah anorganik menggunakan analisis proksimat yaitu kadar air sebesar 2,44%, kadar abu sebesar 37,68%, dan kadar volatil sebesar 88,94%. Total reduksi sampah organik dan anorganik di Kelurahan Baru Ulu, yaitu sebesar 47,540 kg/hari. Analisis kondisi eksisting bank sampah mekar jaya yang berdasarkan persyaratan konstruksi pada area garasi telah memenuhi 27 spesifikasi dari 45 spesifikasi, sedangkan pada area penyimpanan sampah telah memenuhi 31 spesifikasi dari 45 spesifikasi. Rekomendasi desain bank sampah memiliki ukuran 6 m x 8 m yang terdiri dari beberapa ruangan yaitu ruang penerimaan, penimbangan dan pencatatan, ruang pemilahan, gudang, ruang pengolahan sampah, ruang administrasi dan toilet.
