Abstract

Pemanfaatan energi terbarukan merupakan salah satu target utama Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), di mana Indonesia menargetkan bauran energi terbarukan sebesar 23% pada tahun 2025. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memodelkan potensi energi angin di Kalimantan Timur, khususnya di Balikpapan, Samarinda, Berau, dan Sesulu. Metode yang digunakan mencakup studi literatur, pengumpulan data sekunder dari website NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), pemodelan menggunakan distribusi Weibull dengan pendekatan Bayesian untuk mengestimasi parameter angin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Balikpapan memiliki potensi energi angin tertinggi dengan nilai 57474,858 watt per tahun. Desa Sesulu yang terletak di Kecamatan Waru, Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara, Kalimantan Timur memiliki kecepatan angin lebih stabil dengan potensi energi 38,048 watt per tahun dibandingkan Samarinda dan Berau yang hanya memiliki potensi energi 20,270 dan 21,772 watt per tahun. Ukuran rotor turbin bervariasi mulai dari 0,359 m2 hingga 0,751 m2, di mana Balikpapan cocok untuk turbin berukuran menengah hingga kecil, sedangkan Samarinda, Berau dan Sesulu memerlukan rotor lebih kecil. Pengembangan energi angin di Kalimantan Timur memiliki potensi yang cukup dan dapat mendukung bauran energi terbarukan di kawasan IKN.
