Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, sintesis dan karakterisasi karbon aktif yang berasal dari tandan kosong buah kelapa sawit (TKKS) diteliti untuk aplikasi elektroda baterai, dengan fokus pada pengaruh waktu perendaman KOH dan doping silika. Aktivasi kimia dilakukan dengan variasi waktu perendaman KOH. Waktu aktivasi optimal selama 24 jam menghasilkan luas permukaan tertinggi sebesar 310,97 m²g⁻¹, kapasitansi spesifik 179,43 mAhg⁻¹, dan stabilitas tegangan 1,31 V untuk karbon aktif. Komposit SiO₂-G/C menunjukkan luas permukaan tertinggi sebesar 740,15 m²g⁻¹, kapasitansi spesifik 308,72 mAhg⁻¹, dan tegangan 1,64 V, yang menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam sifat elektrokimia. Hasil ini menyoroti potensi karbon aktif yang berasal dari TKKS dengan doping silika untuk anoda baterai berkinerja tinggi dalam aplikasi penyimpanan energi, khususnya pada baterai pouch cell.
