Abstract
Penggunaan material logam sebagai metode perlindungan terhadap korosi terus berkembang di berbagai sektor industri. Salah satu contohnya terdapat pada industri perkapalan, di mana anoda tumbal berbahan dasar aluminium atau zinc digunakan untuk melindungi lambung kapal dari korosi. Anoda tumbal ini umumnya memiliki masa pakai kurang dari tiga tahun dan perlu diganti ketika ukurannya tersisa sekitar 5–20% dari kondisi awal. Limbah anoda tumbal tersebut dapat didaur ulang menjadi anoda baru melalui proses recasting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kapasitas dan potensial anoda Zn-Al yang dihasilkan, mengetahui kesesuaiannya terhadap standar DNV RP B401, serta menganalisis konsistensi komposisi kimia anoda sebelum dan sesudah proses recasting. Proses recasting dilakukan dengan mencampurkan limbah anoda Zn dan Al dalam tiga variasi komposisi, yaitu 100% Zn, 75% Zn : 25% Al, dan 50% Zn : 50% Al. Hasil uji kapasitas arus menunjukkan nilai masing-masing sebesar 928,015 Ah/kg, 1162,778 Ah/kg, dan 2116,112 Ah/kg. Pengukuran Closed Circuit Potential (CCP) menunjukkan nilai potensial masing-masing sebesar -0,947 V, -0,959 V, -0,971 V dan Open Circuit Potential (OCP) menunjukan nilai potensial masing-masing sebesar -0,929 V, -0,937 V, -0,954 V didapatkan hasil bahwa anoda hasil recast memenuhi standar DNV RP B401 sebagai proteksi katodik.
