Abstract

Pabrik Propil Asetat dengan bahan baku asam asetat dan propil alkohol dirancang dengan tujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan industri, yakni industri cat. Propil asetat digunakan sebagai pelarut (solvent) pada industri cat, dimana propil asetat yang digunakan dalam konsentrasi yang bervariasi, pada umumnya berkisar antara 10% hingga 30% dari total campuran cat. Hingga sekarang, kebutuhan propil asetat tersebut masih dipenuhi melalui impor dari luar negeri dikarenakan belum adanya pabrik sejenis yang beroperasi di dalam negeri. Kebutuhan impor propil asetat di Indonesia mencapai 26.711 ton pada tahun 2023 dengan % pertumbuhan sebesar 7,5%. Kapasitas pabrik propil asetat dirancang 55.000 ton/tahun untuk memenuhi kebutuhan domestik dan ekspor. Pabrik propil asetat direncanakan akan dibangun di Kawasan Industri Wijayakusuma, Jawa Tengah. Proses yang digunakan pada produksi propil asetat yakni esterifikasi menggunakan Packed Bed Reactive Distillation Column. Berdasarkan analisis ekonomi, diperoleh TCI sebesar Rp357.198.066.529,63 dengan nilai DCFR sebesar 25,32%, NPV sebesar Rp1.351.622.465.333, DPBP selama 3,169 tahun, ROI sebesar 45%, BEP sebesar 21% kapasitas dan SDP 15% kapasitas.
