Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) di Kampus Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) dengan pendekatan Visual Connection with Nature, guna menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung kenyamanan psikologis dan kesejahteraan mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap, mulai dari identifikasi elemen lanskap dan potensi RTH melalui observasi dan analisis tapak, analisis preferensi mahasiswa melalui kuesioner terhadap 98 responden aktif ITK, serta pengolahan data menggunakan metode Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar zona kampus, seperti Gedung C, D, E, F, G, Laboratorium Terpadu II, dan ISSC, belum memenuhi kriteria teknis pengembangan RTH menurut Permen ATR/BPN No. 14 Tahun 2022. Sebanyak 85% mahasiswa menyatakan jarang menggunakan RTH eksisting, dan lebih menyukai RTH dengan pohon peneduh, ruang belajar terbuka, area sosial, jalur jogging, dan bangku taman. Analisis PCA mengidentifikasi enam komponen preferensi utama yang mewakili 79,84% dari total varian, dengan komponen dominan yaitu koneksi visual dengan alam (38,79%). Konsep perancangan RTH difokuskan pada empat zona prioritas dengan penataan jalur pedestrian teduh, area sosial menghadap danau, vegetasi berlapis, air mancur, gazebo, serta kolam ikan sebagai focal point visual. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam pengembangan desain lanskap kampus berbasis keterlibatan visual dengan alam, yang tidak hanya memperkuat aspek ekologis, tetapi juga mendukung kesejahteraan mahasiswa dan mendorong pemanfaatan RTH sebagai ruang interaksi aktif di lingkungan kampus.
