Abstract

Pertumbuhan pesat Kota Balikpapan akibat industrialisasi, seperti proyek Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) dan pembangunan Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), telah meningkatkan urbanisasi, jumlah kendaraan, serta kemacetan. Kondisi ini memicu fenomena Urban Stress di masyarakat. Taman kota, sebagai ruang terbuka hijau publik, memiliki fungsi restoratif yang signifikan dalam mengurangi Urban Stress melalui peningkatan kesehatan mental dan interaksi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fungsi restoratif Taman Bekapai, Taman Monpera dan Taman Tiga Generasi dalam menurunkan Urban Stress masyarakat Kota Balikpapan. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dengan metode analisis Three box methods, Metode Partial Least Square (PLS) dan Analisis Korelasi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa fungsi restoratif berpengaruh terhadap penurunan Urban Stress. Terdapat korelasi antara kondisi fisik dengan fungsi restoratif yang dapat membantu peningkatan kualitasnya untuk membantu menurunkan Urban Stress. Terdapat sembilan elemen kondisi fisik taman yang menjadi kebutuhan dasar untuk menciptakan taman dengan fungsi restoratif yang tinggi yaitu Pohon, Tanaman Penutup Tanah, Toilet, Pusat Informasi & Keamanan, Perkerasan, Lampu Taman, Tempat Parkir, Jalan Setapak dan Batuan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis dalam pengelolaan ruang terbuka hijau dan menjadi acuan praktis untuk perencanaan fasilitas publik yang mendukung kesehatan mental di perkotaan.
