Abstract
Pemanfaatan energi angin di daerah berkecepatan rendah, seperti Balikpapan (±2 m/s), memerlukan inovasi dalam desain dan material turbin angin agar tetap efisien. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh variasi fraksi volume komposit serat panjang daun nanas terhadap respon material pada turbin angin vertikal tipe Darrieus dengan konfigurasi V-shape blade. Turbin menggunakan airfoil NACA 4412 dan diuji melalui metode Finite Element Analysis (FEA) dan Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Variasi fraksi volume serat yang digunakan adalah 4%, 5%, dan 6% pada matriks polyester. Indikator performa yang dianalisis meliputi deformasi total, tegangan ekuivalen Von Mises, faktor keamanan (Safety Factor), umur kelelahan (Fatigue Life), dan nilai torsi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan fraksi volume serat memperbaiki kekakuan struktural dan ketahanan material terhadap pembebanan siklik. Penambahan V-shape blade juga mampu mengurangi efek stall dan meningkatkan distribusi aliran angin pada bilah turbin. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa material komposit serat nanas berpotensi sebagai alternatif material ramah lingkungan dengan performa struktural yang layak untuk aplikasi turbin angin vertikal di wilayah berkecepatan angin rendah.
