Abstract

Pencemaran air akibat limbah pewarna sintetis seperti metilen biru (MB) dari industri tekstil, khususnya batik, menjadi permasalahan lingkungan yang signifikan karena sifatnya yang stabil dan sulit terdegradasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi limbah MB melalui teknologi fotokatalitik berbasis nanopartikel perak (AgNPs) yang disintesis secara ramah lingkungan menggunakan ekstrak daun lai (Durio kutejensis) sebagai agen pereduksi alami. Untuk meningkatkan kestabilan dan efektivitas aplikasinya, AgNPs diimpregnasi ke kain katun yang telah diaktivasi dengan larutan KOH 8M. Proses fotodegradasi dilakukan dengan menambahkan H₂O₂ di bawah cahaya tampak, dan diuji pada berbagai variasi pH (3, 5, 7, 9, 11) serta temperatur (28°C, 40°C, 65°C). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kondisi pH basa dan suhu tinggi secara signifikan meningkatkan efisiensi degradasi MB, disebabkan oleh pembentukan radikal hidroksil (•OH) yang lebih melimpah dan pemisahan muatan e⁻/h⁺ yang lebih efektif pada permukaan katalis. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa kain ber-AgNPs hasil green synthesis dapat menjadi solusi alternatif yang efektif dan berkelanjutan untuk pengolahan limbah tekstil.
