Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis respon struktur kapal tugboat akibat perbedaan jarak gading antara rancangan dengan yang terpasang pada kapal. Analisis dilakukan dengan membandingkan tegangan dan kekuatan melintang pada struktur kapal untuk model dua variasi jarak gading sesuai rancangan, yaitu 500 mm dan 550 mm yang merupakan jarak gading aktual yang sering ditemukan dilapangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pemodelan elemen hingga menggunakan perangkat lunak ANSYS. Model struktur dibuat dengan variasi jarak gading pada daerah midship kapal. Pembebanan ditentukan berdasarkan peraturan Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model dengan jarak gading sesuai rancangan memiliki deformasi dan tegangan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan model dengan jarak gading aktual yang terpasang pada kapal. Pada beban 100%, model dengan jarak gading rancangan memiliki deformasi maksimum 0,10940 mm dan tegangan maksimum 13,455 MPa, sedangkan model dengan jarak gading aktual memiliki deformasi maksimum 3,2558 mm dan tegangan maksimum 45,932 MPa.
