Abstract

Pra-rancangan pabrik mononitrotoluena (MNT) dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan domestik dan ekspor sebagai bahan baku industri cat, dengan kapasitas produksi 25.000 ton/tahun. Proses produksi dilakukan melalui reaksi nitrasi toluena dengan asam nitrat dan asam sulfat sebagai katalis, menggunakan reaktor alir tangki berpengaduk (CSTR) pada suhu 50°C dan tekanan 1 atm, menghasilkan produk dengan kemurnian 99%. Pabrik beroperasi kontinyu 24 jam/hari selama 330 hari/tahun, dan direncanakan dibangun di Kawasan Industri Tuban (KIT), Jawa Timur di atas lahan seluas 8 ha. Dalam operasionalnya, pabrik membutuhkan listrik sebesar 122,35 kW serta air domestik dan sanitasi sebesar 385,15 kg/jam. Energi panas disuplai oleh LNG untuk boiler, sementara cadangan listrik menggunakan diesel oil untuk generator. Secara ekonomi, pabrik memerlukan Fixed Capital Investment (FCI) sebesar $12.646.107,59 dan Working Capital Investment (WCI) sebesar $1.896.916,14, menghasilkan Total Capital Investment (TCI) sebesar $14.543.023,73. Berdasarkan analisis kelayakan menggunakan Discounted Cash Flow Rate (DCFR), proyek menunjukkan Return on Investment (ROI) sebesar 93.51%, dengan Discounted Payback Period (DPBP) selama 1 tahun 3 bulan, serta Break Even Point (BEP) tercapai pada 66% kapasitas produksi. Nilai DCFR sebesar 52.43% menegaskan bahwa proyek ini sangat layak secara ekonomi.
