Abstract

Pra-rancangan pabrik kimia Disodium Fosfat dengan kapasitas 3.500 ton/tahun akan dibangun di Kawasan Industri Tuban (KIT), Kabupaten Tuban, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Bahan baku yang digunakan adalah Asam Fosfat dari PT Kaltim Parna Industri, Bontang, Kalimantan Timur, dan Natrium Karbonat dari PT Petrokimia Gresik, Gresik, masing-masing dengan kebutuhan 441.919 kg/jam. Pabrik dirancang beroperasi secara kontinu selama 24 jam per hari dan 330 hari per tahun. Proses produksi menggunakan metode kristalisasi pada suhu 30°C dan tekanan 1 atm, dengan reaksi berlangsung dalam Reaktor Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) secara eksotermis dan konversi optimum sebesar 90%. Larutan hasil reaksi dikonsentrasikan menggunakan evaporator, lalu dialirkan ke crystallizer untuk menghasilkan kristal disodium fosfat. Kristalisasi dilakukan dengan pendinginan di bawah titik leleh produk namun tetap di atas titik leleh reaktan pada suhu 30°C dan tekanan 1 atm. Kristal yang terbentuk selanjutnya dipisahkan, dikeringkan, dan digiling hingga berukuran 500 μm. Proses produksi didukung oleh unit utilitas dengan kebutuhan air proses, air pendingin, dan air umpan boiler sebesar 8.208,36 kg/jam, steam 4.586,00 kg/jam, listrik 192,96 kWh, dan udara tekan 1.382,04 kg/jam. Investasi yang dibutuhkan sebesar $9.974.129, dengan evaluasi profitabilitas menunjukkan nilai BEP sebesar 59% dan DCFR sebesar 55,31%. Berdasarkan analisis teknis dan ekonomis, pabrik Disodium Fosfat ini layak untuk dikaji lebih lanjut.
