Abstract

LASTON AC – WC (Asphalt Concrete – Wearing Course) adalah salah satu jenis lapisan perkerasan jalan yang berfungsi sebagai lapisan aus karena langsung menerima beban lalu lintas. LASTON AC - WC konvensional diketahui memiliki beberapa kekurangan, antara lain kerentanan terhadap perubahan suhu yang dapat menyebabkan deformasi plastis (rutting) pada suhu tinggi, kelelahan (fatigue) pada suhu sedang, serta keretakan (cracking) pada suhu rendah. Oleh karena itu, modifikasi campuran aspal menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan kinerja mekanis dan ketahanan terhadap kondisi lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penambahan limbah plastik jenis PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) sebagai bahan aditif dan pemanfaatan fly ash sebagai filler terhadap karakteristik campuran LASTON AC – WC. Variasi kadar PET yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 0%, 2%, 4%, dan 6%, sedangkan kadar aspal divariasikan sebesar 4,5%, 5,0%, 5,5%, 6,0%, dan 6,5%. Fly ash digunakan sebesar 5% dari total campuran sebagai pengganti filler konvensional, sesuai dengan ketentuan Spesifikasi Umum Bina Marga 2018 Revisi 2. Pengujian karakteristik campuran LASTON AC – WC dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Pengujian Marshall, dengan parameter yang dianalisis meliputi Stabilitas, Flow, Rongga Dalam Campuran (VIM), Rongga Dalam Agregat (VMA), dan Rongga Terisi Aspal (VFA), dan Marshall Quotient (MQ). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan PET sebesar 4% pada kadar aspal 5.0%; 5.5%; dan 6.0% menghasilkan parameter Marshall yang memenuhi spesifikasi. Kombinasi kadar aspal 6.0% dengan PET 4% memberikan hasil paling stabil, dengan stabilitas sebesar 1779.92 kg, VIM sebesar 3.72%, VMA sebesar 22.28% VFA sebesar 83.3%, flow sebesar 3.59 mm, dan MQ sebesar 488.99 kg/mm. Dengan demikian, kombinasi tersebut dapat direkomendasikan sebagai formulasi optimum dalam peningkatan performa campuran LASTON AC – WC.
