Abstract

Sanitasi dan perilaku higienis termasuk aspek penting dalam mendukung kesehatan di lingkungan pendidikan. Pondok Pesantren X Kota Balikpapan mengalami berbagai permasalahan sanitasi, seperti kualitas air yang tidak memenuhi baku mutu, toilet yang kurang terawat, serta rendahnya kesadaran santri terhadap perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi eksisting sanitasi dan perilaku higienis di lingkungan pesantren, serta menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pengelolaannya terhadap kesehatan santri. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fasilitas sanitasi belum memenuhi standar. 26 toilet yang tersedia, hanya 14 toilet yang layak digunakan perbandinganya 14: 12 atau sekitar 53,8% toilet layak digunakan, sedangkan 46,2% tidak layak. Tidak tersedia fasilitas cuci tangan (wastafel), ventilasi dan pencahayaan minim, serta drainase air limbah kurang baik. Uji laboratorium menunjukkan bahwa kualitas air tidak sesuai dengan Permenkes No. 2 Tahun 2023 TentangPersyaratan Kualitas Air. Air yang digunakan juga tidak memenuhi baku mutu, dengan kadar Fe sebesar 0,8624 mg/L (Maks. 0,2 mg/L) dan E. coli sebanyak 53 CFU/100 mL. Perilaku higienis santri belum optimal, dengan proporsi tertinggi pada kebersihan pakaian pribadi (95,24%). Penerapan filter air sederhana berhasil menurunkan kadar Fe menjadi 0,0804 mg/L( 90,65% )dan E. coli menjadi <1 CFU/100 mL (98%). Optimalisasi penurunan pH pada penggunaan filter air yang direncanakan dapat melalui penambahan kapur. Kata kunci: Higienis, Pesantren , Penyakit Kulit, Pengelolaan Air, Sanitasi
