Abstract

Lauril Sulfat adalah bahan baku industri FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) yang berarti kebutuhan sehari-hari yang permintaannya tinggi, cepat terjual, dan harganya terjangkau. Kategori produk ini mencakup makanan, minuman produk perawatan pribadi seperti produk turunan sampo, sabun, detergen, dan lainnya. Meningkatnya kebutuhan Sodium Lauril Sulfat (SLS) sebagai surfaktan yang sering digunakan sebagai bahan pembersih dan pembentuk busa pada banyak produk, maka pabrik ini perlu didirikan dengan tetap mengusung 2 poin SDGs antara lain energi murah dan bersih dan akses yang terjangkau. Produksi Sodium Lauril Sulfat (SLS) dilakukan melalui proses esterifikasi yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan utama, yaitu persiapan bahan baku, tahap sintesis, dan tahap pemurnian. Pabrik SLS direncanakan memiliki jumlah pekerja sebanyak 204 dengan waktu operasional 24 jam selama 330 hari dalam setahun, dengan pembagian jam kerja menjadi 3 shift selama 8 jam per shift. Lokasi pabrik akan didirikan di Kawasan Manyar, Jawa Timur, dengan luas tanah sebesar 43.358 m². Pabrik ini memerlukan pasokan listrik sebesar 5.167.304 Hp, kebutuhan steam sebesar 465,82 kg/jam, dan kebutuhan air sebesar 106.808,220 liter/jam. Modal tetap (FCI) yang dibutuhkan dalam pembangunan pabrik ini adalah sebesar $35.163.533, sedangkan total modal investasi (TCI) mencapai $122.018.780. Aspek ekonomi terukur dari pabrik ini menunjukkan nilai DCFFR sebesar 45%, nilai ROI sebesar 72%, nilai SDP sebesar 10%, dan nilai BEP sebesar 40%. Berdasarkan aspek-aspek yang telah dijelaskan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pabrik Sodium Lauril Sulfat ini layak untuk dikaji lebih lanjut.
