Abstract

The furniture industry in Balikpapan City faces the risk of delays in the supply of raw wood materials, which can hinder production processes and reduce operational performance. This study aims to identify the risks of delayed raw material supply and determine appropriate mitigation strategy priorities. The House of Risk (HOR) method is used to identify and prioritize risk agents, while the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to determine the priority of mitigation strategies. The results of the study identified 14 risk events and several risk agents that influence delays in raw material supply. Based on HOR Phase 1, four dominant risk agents were obtained, namely the absence of safety stock, manual order recording, overloaded regular shipping services, and the lack of alternative suppliers. HOR Phase 2 produced five priority mitigation strategies, which were then evaluated using AHP based on the criteria of effectiveness, cost, ease of implementation, time, and flexibility. The AHP results show that strategies related to quality control, information system management, raw material requirement planning, and supplier management are the main priorities in reducing the risk of delayed raw material supply. This study demonstrates that the integration of the HOR and AHP methods can help companies systematically and effectively determine risk mitigation strategies.
