Abstract

Kebocoran tangki N-Hexane pada plant X merupakan salah satu potensi bahaya yang perlu dikendalikan karena N-Hexane memiliki sifat mudah menguap, mudah terbakar, dan berisiko terhadap kesehatan pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memodelkan konsekuensi kebocoran tangki N-Hexane menggunakan perangkat lunak ALOHA, menganalisis dampak kebocoran terhadap threat zone, serta mengevaluasi efektivitas lapisan proteksi menggunakan metode Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA). Data yang digunakan meliputi data tangki, data meteorologi, kondisi proses, dan sistem proteksi yang tersedia pada area tangki N-Hexane di PT XYZ. Hasil pemodelan ALOHA menunjukkan bahwa skenario kebocoran melalui bukaan 6 cm dapat membentuk genangan N-Hexane yang berpotensi berkembang menjadi pool fire apabila terkena sumber pemantik. Skenario pool fire menghasilkan panjang nyala maksimum 16 yards, diameter genangan 5,3 yards, laju pembakaran 254 pounds/min, dan total bahan terbakar sebesar 425 pounds. Threat zone pool fire mencapai radius terluar sekitar 32 yards atau 29 meter. Skenario BLEVE sebagai skenario terburuk menghasilkan fireball berdiameter 195 yards atau 178 meter dengan durasi pembakaran 12 detik, serta threat zone hingga 779 meter pada zona terluar. Hasil LOPA menunjukkan bahwa lapisan proteksi eksisting berupa bundwall belum memenuhi toleransi risiko yang ditetapkan. Setelah rekomendasi penambahan SIF High-High Level Trip yang terhubung dengan automatic shutoff valve, frekuensi konsekuensi termitigasi menurun menjadi 9 × 10⁻⁶/tahun dan memenuhi kriteria toleransi risiko 1 × 10⁻⁵/tahun.
