Abstract

Kota Tenggarong dikenal dengan keberagaman budaya dan festival tahunan, namun belum memiliki wadah yang memadai untuk aktivitas budaya dan rekreasi berkelanjutan. Pulau Kumala, yang dahulu menjadi destinasi wisata unggulan, kini mengalami penurunan fungsi dan kehilangan daya tarik sebagai ruang publik. Permasalahan ini melatarbelakangi perancangan Kumala Cultural Center dengan pendekatan arsitektur adaptif, yang bertujuan mengintegrasikan fungsi budaya, ekonomi, dan pariwisata sekaligus menyediakan ruang interaksi inklusif bagi masyarakat. Penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan studi literatur, serta dilanjutkan dengan metode desain sistematis mencakup penentuan tapak, pengolahan bentuk arsitektural, dan perencanaan lanskap sesuai karakter Pulau Kumala. Hasil perancangan berupa bangunan Cultural Center yang dengan jumlah 3 lantai yang dilengkapi ruang-ruang fleksibel, konvertibel, dan ekspandabel, seperti ruang workshop, area multifungsi yang dapat berubah sesuai event yang ada, dilengkapi juga dengan ampiteater pada landscape, sehingga dapat menampung aktivitas harian, event reguler, maupun festival besar. Kategori ruang meliputi area administrasi, pembelajaran dan kreatif, pertunjukan, publik dan penunjang, serta teknis dan utilitas yang mendukung keberlanjutan.
