Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi manufaktur menuntut proses pemesinan yang semakin efisien, presisi, dan mampu menghasilkan kualitas produk yang tinggi. Salah satu faktor penting dalam proses Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling adalah pemilihan toolpath, karena lintasan pahat tidak hanya memengaruhi kualitas permukaan benda kerja, tetapi juga berdampak pada keausan pahat dan waktu pemesinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi toolpath terhadap nilai kekasaran permukaan, keausan insert, dan machining time pada proses face milling material ASTM A36 menggunakan mesin CNC Milling 3 Axis. Variasi toolpath yang digunakan meliputi Zig, Zig-Zag, dan One Way. Parameter pemotongan dijaga konstan pada kecepatan spindle 3023 rpm, feed rate 190 mm/menit, dan depth of cut 0,5 mm. Pengujian kekasaran permukaan dilakukan menggunakan Surface Roughness Tester Mitutoyo SJ-210 pada tiga titik pengukuran setiap spesimen. Keausan insert dianalisis melalui perbandingan massa insert sebelum dan sesudah pemesinan, sedangkan machining time diukur menggunakan stopwatch dan data panel mesin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi toolpath memberikan pengaruh terhadap seluruh parameter yang diuji. Toolpath One Way menghasilkan nilai kekasaran permukaan paling rendah sebesar 0,213 µm, sehingga menghasilkan kualitas permukaan terbaik, serta machining time tercepat yaitu 5 menit 20 detik. Namun, toolpath ini juga menghasilkan keausan insert tertinggi sebesar 0,0028 g. Sementara itu, toolpath Zig-Zag menghasilkan keausan insert paling rendah sebesar 0,0024 g dengan nilai kekasaran permukaan 0,383 µm dan machining time 5 menit 34 detik. Adapun toolpath Zig menghasilkan nilai kekasaran permukaan tertinggi sebesar 0,756 µm dengan waktu pemesinan terlama yaitu 7 menit 33 detik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pemilihan toolpath yang tepat dapat meningkatkan kualitas permukaan, mengurangi keausan pahat, dan mengoptimalkan efisiensi proses pemesinan.
