Abstract

Kota Balikpapan memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan ekonomi kreatif dengan kontribusi sektor ekonomi kreatif terhadap PDRB kota mencapai 27,68% pada tahun 2020, didominasi subsektor kuliner, fesyen, dan kriya. Namun, potensi tersebut belum termanfaatkan optimal karena belum tersedianya fasilitas terpadu yang mampu mengakomodasi aktivitas produksi, promosi, serta kolaborasi antar pelaku ekonomi kreatif. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah pusat kreatif yang mampu mewadahi berbagai aktivitas kreatif dalam satu kawasan yang terintegrasi.Perancangan ini bertujuan menghasilkan konsep Pusat Kreatif di Kota Balikpapan dengan pendekatan Biomimikri sebagai strategi penguatan ekonomi kreatif melalui penerapan tingkatan dan prinsip biomimikri. Metode perancangan menggunakan Problem Seeking menurut Peña dan Parshall melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, analisis berdasarkan aspek function, form, economy, dan time, serta sintesis konsep desain. Pendekatan biomimikri diterapkan dengan mengambil inspirasi dari beruang madu (Helarctos malayanus) sebagai fauna khas Kota Balikpapan.Hasil perancangan berupa kawasan pusat kreatif dengan konsep multi-building yang terdiri atas bangunan studio produksi kreatif, ruang pelatihan, galeri dan auditorium, serta plaza UMKM yang saling terintegrasi. Penerapan biomimikri diwujudkan melalui tiga aspek utama, yaitu bentuk, perilaku , dan sistem, yang diterapkan pada transformasi massa bangunan, strategi pengelolaan kawasan yang adaptif terhadap lingkungan. Dengan demikian, perancangan ini mampu menjadi wadah pengembangan ekonomi kreatif sekaligus mendukung transformasi Kota Balikpapan menuju kota kreatif yang berkelanjutan.
