Abstract

Perempuan penyintas kekerasan berbasis gender, seperti kekerasan dalam rumah tangga dan kekerasan seksual, sering mengalami tekanan psikologis serta kehilangan rasa aman akibat terbatasnya fasilitas pemulihan non medis yang mampu mendukung proses pemulihan secara menyeluruh. Kota Balikpapan belum memiliki fasilitas khusus yang berfokus pada pemulihan psikologis penyintas melalui lingkungan binaan yang aman dan mendukung. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan ruang pada fasilitas pemulihan serta merumuskan strategi perancangan arsitektur dengan pendekatan Sense of Place guna membangun keterikatan emosional dan makna ruang bagi penyintas. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menerapkan metode Programming and Designing dari William M. Peña dan Steven A. Parshall melalui tahapan penetapan tujuan, pengumpulan data, pengujian konsep, serta perumusan permasalahan. Hasil perancangan berupa Women’s Mental Health Hub yang mengintegrasikan 15 bangunan hunian, 1 bangunan pemulihan diri, 1 bangunan pengelola, 1 bangunan servis, dan 1 bangunan pengembangan diri sebagai wadah pemberdayaan penyintas. Desain menerapkan alur sirkulasi transisional dari zona publik, semi publik, semi privat, hingga privat melalui pemanfaatan koridor sebagai elemen penghubung ruang. Selain itu, penerapan taman sensori, kenyamanan termal, pencahayaan alami, serta sistem pengawasan yang mendukung keamanan aktivitas penyintas memperkuat pemaknaan tempat sebagai lingkungan pemulihan yang aman, terapeutik, dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan perempuan penyintas.
