Abstract
Sektor perkebunan merupakan salah satu sektor unggulan di Provinsi Kalimantan Timur yang terus mengalami ekspansi lahan secara signifikan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Seiring dengan masifnya perkembangan tersebut, diperlukan kajian mendalam untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana kontribusi sektor ini terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat secara nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh luas lahan perkebunan terhadap Indeks Kesejahteraan Masyarakat di kabupaten/kota Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Kesejahteraan masyarakat diukur melalui pendekatan multidimensi yang mencakup indikator Rata-rata Lama Sekolah (RLS), Harapan Lama Sekolah (HLS), Umur Harapan Hidup (UHH), Persentase Penduduk Miskin, Indeks Kedalaman Kemiskinan, PDRB ADHB, dan Pengeluaran per Kapita. Metodologi penelitian ini menggabungkan teknik Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) dan ekonometrika. Tahap pertama ialah perhitungan Indeks Kesejahteraan Masyarakat dengan metode Entropi-TOPSIS di mana Kutai Timur secara konsisten menempati peringkat pertama. Tahap kedua menggunakan analisis Regresi Data Panel menghasilkan model estimasi Random Effect Model (REM) sebagai model estimasi yang tepat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menggunakan REM, hanya variabel persentase luas perkebunan kelapa sawit yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Indeks Kesejahteraan Masyarakat. Selain itu, diperoleh nilai koefisien determinasi {(R}^2) sebesar 31,37% yang dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa 31,37% Indeks Kesejahteraan Masyarakat mampu dijelaskan oleh variabel independen dalam penelitian, sedangkan sebesar 68,63% dijelaskan oleh faktor-faktor lain di luar penelitian.
