Abstract

Kebutuhan listrik di daerah terpencil yang belum terjangkau jaringan PLN mendorong pemanfaatan sistem Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) off-grid sebagai solusi penyediaan energi listrik mandiri. Salah satu kendala pada sistem tersebut adalah fluktuasi iradiasi matahari yang dapat memengaruhi kinerja inverter, khususnya pada pompa air. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang, merealisasikan, dan menguji prototipe DC–DC Buck Converter yang terintegrasi dengan algoritma Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) metode Perturb and Observe (P&O) untuk menurunkan serta menstabilkan tegangan masukan inverter pada sistem PLTS off-grid. Sistem dirancang menggunakan panel surya 550 Wp yang disusun secara seri dengan tegangan Vmp sekitar 126 VDC dan dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler ESP32 yang memproses data sensor secara real-time. Hasil pengujian laboratorium menunjukkan bahwa sensor pembagi tegangan memiliki kesalahan di bawah 1%. Sementara itu, hasil pengujian lapangan pada iradiasi sebesar 500-896 W/m² menunjukkan bahwa algoritma MPPT Perturb and Observe mampu menyesuaikan duty cycle pada rentang 35%-37% sehingga tegangan keluaran buck converter tetap berada pada kisaran 47,7-48,5 V meskipun tegangan berfluktuasi antara 130,9-136,5 V. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa prototipe DC-DC Buck Converter mampu menjaga kestabilan tegangan keluaran sesuai kebutuhan inverter serta merespons perubahan kondisi iradiasi matahari secara otomatis melalui pengaturan duty cycle oleh algoritma MPPT Perturb and Observe
