Abstract

Learning Management System (LMS) Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) merupakan infrastruktur vital dalam pembelajaran daring, namun penggunaannya pada perangkat mobile masih terkendala masalah usability seperti tampilan yang tidak responsif, navigasi yang membingungkan, dan konten yang terpotong. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi dan merancang ulang (redesign) antarmuka mobile web LMS ITK untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengalaman pengguna. Metode penelitian yang digunakan mengadopsi kerangka kerja User-Centered Design (UCD) dengan instrumen Heuristic Evaluation berdasarkan 10 prinsip Nielsen. Evaluasi tahap pertama yang melibatkan enam evaluator berhasil mengidentifikasi 29 masalah usability, yang didominasi oleh tata letak padat pada pelanggaran prinsip heuristik Aesthetic and Minimalist Design. Tingkat keparahan rata-rata tertinggi mencapai skor Severity Rating sebesar 2,67 akibat kendala penggunaan fitur pencarian dan ketidakjelasan status visual antarmuka. Berdasarkan seluruh temuan tersebut, dilakukan redesign antarmuka secara menyeluruh yang mencakup penyederhanaan tata letak, penerapan bottom navigation bar, dan penyatuan sidebar. Hasil evaluasi tahap kedua menunjukkan penurunan skor keparahan secara drastis. Mayoritas masalah berhasil ditekan hingga angka 0,00 dan skor rata-rata tertinggi yang tersisa hanya mencapai angka 1,17 yang secara keseluruhan murni tergolong sebagai masalah kosmetik. Penurunan ini membuktikan desain usulan efektif mengatasi hambatan interaksi dan meningkatkan kualitas usability sistem secara terukur.
