Abstract
Peningkatan temperatur operasi panel surya merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menurunkan kinerja dan efisiensi sistem fotovoltaik. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi temperatur panel adalah penerapan sistem Partially Submerged Photovoltaic (PSPV) yang memanfaatkan media air sebagai pendingin pasif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem panel surya terapung serta menganalisis pengaruh variasi Submerged Ratio terhadap temperatur dan kinerja panel surya. Variasi Submerged Ratio yang digunakan yaitu 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100%. Pengujian dilakukan dengan mengukur temperatur panel, irradiance, tegangan, dan arus untuk menentukan daya output dan efisiensi panel surya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan persentase perendaman mampu menurunkan temperatur operasi panel. Temperatur rata-rata panel pada variasi Submerged Ratio 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100% berturut-turut sebesar 36,42°C, 33,42°C, 30,24°C, 29,99°C, dan 30,11°C. Variasi Submerged Ratio 75% menghasilkan kinerja terbaik dengan daya output rata-rata sebesar 10,27 W dibandingkan panel kontrol sebesar 9,22 W. Selain itu, variasi tersebut menghasilkan efisiensi maksimum sebesar 17,53%, efisiensi rata-rata sebesar 9,34%, dan efisiensi rata-rata pada periode 11.00-13.00 WITA sebesar 11,98%. Sementara itu, variasi submerged ratio 100% menghasilkan daya output dan efisiensi yang lebih rendah meskipun temperatur panel lebih rendah karena seluruh permukaan panel berada di bawah permukaan air sehingga radiasi matahari yang diterima panel berkurang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa variasi Submerged Ratio berpengaruh terhadap temperatur dan kinerja panel surya terapung, serta Submerged Ratio 75% merupakan kondisi optimum pada sistem PSPV yang dikembangkan.
