Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan prototipe baterai coin cell melalui modifikasi anoda berbasis karbon aktif dari Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) yang didoping menggunakan silika geotermal (SiO2-G/C). Aktivasi kimia dilakukan pada serat TKKS dengan variasi konsentrasi aktivator FeCl3 yaitu 1 M, 2 M, 3 M, 4 M, dan 5 M selama 24 jam. Setelah itu, serat TKKS aktivasi dengan temperatur 750oC selama 1 jam. Selanjutnya, dilakukan proses doping silika geotermal dengan metode impregnasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi 2 M pada sampel SiO2G/C menunjukkan luas permukaan tertinggi sebesar 417,861 m2/g. Hal ini juga berbanding lurus dengan hasil uji elektrokimia dengan metode Cyclic voltametry yang memiliki kapasitas spesifik mencapai 327,78 mAh/g. Tegangan yang dihasilkan sampel dengan anoda SiO2-G/C 2 M mencapai 3,039 V. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa material SiO2-G/C berbasis karbon aktif TKKS yang didoping silika geotermal memiliki potensi sebagai material anoda untuk baterai ion lithium coin cell.
