Abstract

Heavy equipment rental companies increasingly require digital information systems to improve service accessibility and operational efficiency. PT Multiply Sarana Indotama currently manages its rental process conventionally, requiring customers to visit the company office to obtain information regarding equipment availability, specifications, and rental procedures. This study aims to design and develop an integrated front-end and back-end web-based rental information system that supports online information services and rental requests while improving internal rental data management. A qualitative case study approach was employed to identify system requirements through semi-structured interviews with the company's Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The system was developed by a single developer using the Scrum framework, which included Product Backlog, Sprint Planning, Sprint Backlog, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Functional verification was conducted using Black-Box Testing, while user evaluation was performed using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The developed website provides integrated functionalities, including company profile, heavy equipment catalog, product specifications, availability information, shopping cart, rental request form, WhatsApp integration, customer management, and an administrative dashboard. The Black-Box Testing results confirmed that all system functionalities operated according to the specified requirements. Furthermore, user evaluation indicated that the developed website received positive responses regarding functionality, usability, and information accessibility. The study demonstrates that implementing Scrum successfully facilitated the development of a reliable web-based rental information system capable of supporting business operations and enhancing customer access to heavy equipment rental services at PT Multiply Sarana Indotama.
