Abstract

Perkembangan industri elektronik mendorong kebutuhan akan solder bebas timbal yang ramah lingkungan dan memiliki performa yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan Cu (0; 0,3; 0,5; 0,7; dan 0,9 wt.%) terhadap sifat fisis, mikrostruktur, mekanik, dan termal paduan solder Sn 9Zn-4Ag. Paduan dibuat melalui proses peleburan pada suhu 500°C menggunakan muffle furnace dan dikarakterisasi menggunakan pengujian massa jenis, XRD, Mikroskop optik, SEM-EDS, DSC, dan mikro Vickers. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan Cu meningkatkan massa jenis dari 7,16 g/cm³ menjadi 7,39 g/cm³, hasil XRD menunjukan fasa β-Sn, AgZn, dan Cu₅Zn₈. Penambahan Cu juga memperhalus mikrostruktur hingga ukuran 8,51 µm, menghasilkan nilai Tₚₑₐₖ sebesar 221,13°C dengan melting range 4,83°C, serta meningkatkan kekerasan hingga 18,86 HV. Secara keseluruhan, penambahan Cu menghasilkan kombinasi sifat fisik dan mekanik yang baik sehingga berpotensi digunakan sebagai material solder bebas timbal untuk aplikasi elektronik yang ramah lingkungan
